Callihan Earns Google Cloud Academic All-District Selection
May 14, 2018Tiffin University outfielder, Brayden Callihan, was named to the Google Cloud CoSida Baseball Academic All-District 1st Team on Monday. The award honors student-athletes for their accomplishment on and off the playing field. -
Panthers Walk By Dragons In GLIAC Tournament
May 11, 2018Walks will haunt is a pretty common saying heard at a baseball game, and the adage held true on Friday in Tiffin's 11-6 loss to Davenport in the consolation bracket of the GLIAC Tournament. Tiffin walked 11 batters on Friday, and surrendered 10 hits in the defeat. While the Panthers took advantage of the free passes, Tiffin didn't have as much success, collecting seven walks, but stranding 10 runners over the course of the game.

Late Innings Unkind To Tiffin
May 10, 2018The Tiffin University baseball team hung with the top seeded Northwood University Timberwolves in their GLIAC Tournament game on Thursday morning, but Northwood eventually pulled away from Tiffin to win 9-3. The Dragons allowed five runs over the course of the final three innings, after trailing 4-3 entering the bottom of the 7th.

The Dragons still maintain a one game lead for the 6th and final spot in the GLIAC Tournament.

Heckman Earns GLIAC Player Of The Week Honor
April 16, 2018Tiffin University catcher John Heckman had a week to remember, compiling a .667 batting average with 10 hits, four doubles, a home run, and 11 runs batted in. Heckman finished all four games this past week with at least two hits, including two games with three hits. The redshirt junior finished with six runs batted in against Malone in a non-conference game, and finished a three game set with Wayne State with seven hits and five runs batted in. John posted a .650 on base percentage and a 1.133 slugging percentage while also scoring seven runs.

April 13, 2018The Tiffin University baseball team nearly pulled off the twin bill sweep on Friday, falling just short in game two. The Dragons cruised in the opener 10-2, and fell 7-6 in the nightcap.

March 30, 2018The Tiffin University baseball team salvaged one game in their four game set with Grand Valley State University, dropping a pair of games on Friday. Tiffin managed only only one run on four hits over the course of 16 innings on Friday, but were able to take game two 3-2, completing the game after it was called due to darkness on Thursday evening.

The Dragons were neck-and-neck with the Lakers until the 7th and 8th innings struck. The Lakers scored 10 of their 13 runs over the course of the two innings, collecting seven hits in the process.
