Women's Basketball Defeat G-MAC Rival Findlay 73-65

The Tiffin University women's basketball team (7-20, 4-15 G-MAC) defeated G-MAC rival Findlay 73-65.

Four Dragons hit double-digit points in the win - Jada Tate, Savanah Richards, Jae'onna Sutton, and Kirsten Williams.

The Dragons started the game by building a 6-2 lead early. The Oilers came back with a 9-4 run to take an 11-10 lead. The two teams each scored eight points to give Findlay a 19-18 lead after the first quarter.

Tiffin came out in the second quarter going on an 8-2 run to lead 26-21 with 5:46 left in the first half. Findlay countered with an 11-2 run to take a 32-28 lead into the break.

Tiffin came out of the break on a mission in the second half, outscoring Findlay 17-8 and taking a 45-40 lead with 2:24 left in the third quarter. TU outscored Findlay 7-5 the rest of the quarter to lead 52-45 heading into the final frame.

Findlay opened the fourth with a 3-0 run, but the Dragons responded with a 7-0 run to lead 59-48 with 6:04 left in the game. Findlay wouldn't go away as they went on a 9-4 run to cut the lead down to 65-59 with 2:29 left in the game but clutch free throws from Tiffin sealed the 73-65 win.

Jada Tate led the team with 18 points shooting 7-for-10 from the field, grabbed three rebounds, two blocks, and one steal, and Savanah Richards recorded 17 points shooting 7-for-10 from the field, 2-for-4 from beyond the arc, eight rebounds, three steals, and one assist.

Jae'onna Sutton had 12 points shooting 4-for-7 from the field, three steals, two rebounds, and two assists, and teammate Kirsten Williams had 10 points shooting 3-for-6 from the field, three rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
