Women's Basketball Falls to Lake Erie 55-39

The Tiffin University women's basketball team (6-20, 3-15 GMAC) lost to conference opponent Lake Erie 55-39.

Tiffin started well, leading 10-5 early in the first quarter, but the Storm came back, going on an 11-2 run the rest of the quarter to lead 16-12.

TU was outscored 17-3 in the second quarter to give Lake Erie a 33-15 lead at halftime.

After the break, Lake Erie continued their run, going on a 5-0 run to start the third quarter. Tiffin countered, outscoring the Storm 9-6 the rest of the quarter to bring the score to 44-24.

The Dragons started the fourth strong, going on a 14-5 run to cut the lead down to 51-38 with 1:34 left in the game. Lake Erie went on to win 55-29, holding off TU's second-half surge.

Catara Dejarnette led the team with nine points shooting 4-for-14 from the field, had three rebounds, and two steals, and teammate Savanah Richards scored seven points shooting 3-for-9 from the field, grabbed five rebounds, and one assist.
