The Tiffin University women's basketball team (6-16, 3-11 G-MAC) defeated G-MAC foe Cedarville 71-70.

Four Dragons hit double digits in the win over the Yellow Jackets.

Tiffin jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first four minutes of play and followed that with an 11-2 run to lead 20-2 at the 1:52 mark of the first quarter. Cedarville scored five unanswered points to end the first quarter, giving the Dragons a 20-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Yellow Jackets' offense got going in the second as they went on a 13-4 run to cut the lead to 24-20 midway through the second quarter. Cedarville kept chipping away and took a 27-26 lead with 1:58 left in the first half. Tiffin outscored the Yellow Jackets 7-4 down the stretch to take a 40-34 lead into the break.

TU started the third quarter with a 4-0 run to lead 38-30, but the Yellow Jackets countered with a 10-4 run to cut the lead down to 42-40. The Dragons responded with a 7-2 run to lead 49-42 with 3:59 left in the quarter. CU outscored the Dragons 8-5 the rest of the quarter to cut the lead down to 54-50 going into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, both teams scored four points each, then Cedarville went on a 12-7 run to take a 68-67 lead with 1:03 left in the game. Jada Tate took over the game and scored two buckets in the final two possessions to take a one-point lead with seven seconds left in the game to seal the win over the Yellow Jackets.

Kirsten Williams led the team with 16 points shooting 5-for-8 from the field, and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc, grabbed nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal, and Catara Dejarnette registered 13 points shooting 4-for-8 from the field, and 3-for-6 from three-point territory, and three rebounds.

Jada Tate tallied 11 points shooting 5-for-14 from the field, with six rebounds, one assists, and one block, and teammate Savanah Richards recorded 11 points shooting 5-for-7 from the field, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
