Women's Basketball Fall 80-57 to Malone

The Tiffin University women's basketball team (3-5, 0-1 GMAC) fell to Malone 80-57.

The Pioneers started strong going on an 8-2 run to start the game. Tiffin rallied back, going on a 7-3 run to cut Malone's lead down to 18-11 at the end of the first quarter.

The Pioneers outscored Tiffin 25-15 in the second quarter to lead 43-26 at halftime.

Tiffin came out of the half going on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 49-33 midway through the third quarter. Malone kept the pressure on and led 60-39 heading into the final frame.

The Dragons kept pace with the Pioneers, scoring 18 in the fourth compared to Malone's 20, but Malone went on to win the game 80-57.

Kirsten Williams led the team with 11 points shooting 4-for-10 from the field, had seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal, Savanah Richards had nine points shooting 3-for-7 from the field, two rebounds three assists, and one steal, and Catara Dejarnette recorded nine points shooting 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, had one steal, and one block.
