Dragon Details:

After a three-game win streak was snapped, Tiffin has dropped their last two contests to GLIAC opponents Lake Superior State and Saginaw Valley. The Dragons will take on their third GLIAC foe in a row against Wayne State on Tuesday night.

Super sophomores Aarion Nichols and Jasmine Watts are leading the charge for the Dragons so far in 2019, ranking first and second on the team in both points per game and rebounds per game. Nichols (13 ppg, 6.3 rpg) is also third on the team with 1.9 assists per game, while Watts (12.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg) leads the team with 1.9 blocks per game.

Freshman guard Jessica Chase is next for TU with 7.3 points per outing, followed by Danelle Bradley at 6.9 ppg.

Scouting the Warriors:

Wayne State dropped their season opener by 30 points at Walsh, but has since won their last four contests in a row, including victories over a pair of other GMAC schools in Lake Erie and Findlay.

The Warriors have had the upper hand as of late in the head-to-head series, winning eight of the last ten over the Dragons, including a 73-71 victory over TU a season ago on Nov. 17. Nichols had 10 points and six rebounds for Tiffin in the loss.

Grace George is leading Wayne State thus far with 15.6 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per contest. Sadia Johnson (11.8 ppg) and Nastassja Chambers (10.6 ppg) round out the Warrior double-figure scoring, while Sam Cherney adds a big presence down low with 8.6 rebounds per game and seven blocks on the year.

Scouting The Rock:

Slippery Rock is off to a slow start, coming into the weekend 2-4 on the year. The Rock and the Dragons have had one common opponent already at Salem University, where both teams won games that were decided by three or less points.

Tiffin and Slippery Rock have played just three times since the Dragons joined Division II, with TU holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. The two teams have not squared off since 2010, however, when Tiffin won on the road by a 67-42 score.

Brooke Hinderliter (17.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg) and Madison Johnson (16.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg) form a dynamic duo to lead The Rock so far in 2019. Daeja Quick is third on the team in scoring with 11.3 ppg while adding 3.5 assists per game, and LeeAnn Gibson leads the team in rebounding at 7.0 boards per game while also contributing 8.3 points per outing.
