Series History:

Tiffin and Hillsdale have met 18 times since the Dragons joined Division II, with the Chargers holding a 12-6 record and a current five-game win streak in the series. In their most recent matchup earlier this season on Dec. 1, Hillsdale came to Tiffin and pulled away late to take a 74-65 victory. The Chargers' Allie Dewire (21) and Grace Touchette (20) both tallied 20 or more points in the win, while Jasmine Watts led the Dragons with 11 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.

Tiffin and Findlay have played 22 times while members of Division II, and the Oilers hold the upper hand with a 15-7 advantage, including three wins in a row, in the series. The Dragons and Oilers opened conference play in their most recent matchup back on Nov. 29, with Findlay shooting very well en route to an 89-69 win. Oiler star Anna Hintz tallied 28 points and 10 boards, while Annie Santucci made six threes and scored 21 points to lead the Dragon effort.

Dragon Details:

Tiffin is on a run that has not been seen since the end of the 2011-12 season, as their current four-game win streak is the longest for the program since they rattled off six-straight victories in February 2012. Coincidentally, half of the wins in that streak came against Hillsdale (2) and Findlay (1).

The Dragons demolished Ohio Valley last Thursday, setting a new program record for points in a game with a 108-84 victory. TU shot 52.2% from the field and 77.8% from the free throw line in the win, including taking 36 shots from the foul line. The Dragons also recorded a whopping 61 points off the bench, led by Allie Miller's new career high of 25. Watts also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards in the win.

The momentum did not slow down in an upset of Ohio Dominican on Saturday, as the Dragons used a 34-20 third quarter advantage to take down the Panthers 93-79. TU was able to convert four and-one opportunities during that quarter, and shot over 50% from the field for the third game in a row. Five players were in double figures, led by Miller's 18 points.

Miller was also named the G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for her efforts in the victories.

Scouting the Chargers:

Hillsdale comes into Thursday's game with an overall record of 8-11 and 6-7 in conference play, and have hit a bit of a rough patch as of late with four-straight losses and five defeats in their last six games. This game is critical for both teams in the postseason hunt, as both Hillsdale (9th) and Tiffin (11) are currently on the outside looking in but are less than three games out of the eighth and final spot. Last week, the Chargers fell in a pair of close games on the road to Kentucky Wesleyan 71-70 on Thursday followed by Trevecca Nazarene 69-62 on Saturday. Hillsdale is a great rebounding squad, ranking second in the conference with 41.0 rebounds per game, including atop the G-MAC with 28.1 per contest on the defensive end. Allie Dewire (13.1 ppg, 10th in G-MAC) and Brittany Gray (12.9 ppg, 11th) lead the way in scoring for the Chargers, while Makenna Ott is 14th in the conference at 12.4 points per game, fourth with 7.3 rebounds per game, fourth with a 46.3 field goal percentage, and sixth with 1.0 blocks per game.

Scouting the Oilers:

Findlay enters the week tied for third in the G-MAC at 9-4 and 13-5 overall. The Oilers split their southern road trip last weekend, defeating Trevecca Nazarene 79-53 on Thursday before falling to Kentucky Wesleyan 72-54 on Saturday. Findlay is a very experienced team, as the Oilers' top-six scorers, including all five starters, are seniors. Findlay is in the top-five in the conference in nearly every category, including first with a 1.17 assists/turnover ratio, second with 15.17 assists per game, third with 40.3 rebounds per game, and third with a +10.9 scoring margin. Senior Anna Hintz leads the way with 18.3 points per game (1st in G-MAC, 43rd nationally), 8.7 rebounds per game (1st in G-MAC), nine double-doubles (1st in G-MAC, 24th nationally), an 86.2 free throw percentage (1st in G-MAC, 31st nationally), and a 50.0 field goal percentage (2nd in G-MAC). The Oilers will host current G-MAC leader Cedarville on Thursday before welcoming Tiffin on Saturday.

Record Watch:

After becoming just the ninth player in Tiffin women's basketball history to reach the 1,000-point scoring mark in the Dragons' win over Carlow on Dec. 29, senior Ali Schirmer needs just 15 made three-pointers to become the school's all-time leader. She is also 11 assists away from reaching eighth-place in the Dragon record books for career assists. Allie Miller broke into the TU career made three-pointers top-10 list in the Ohio Dominican game, now sitting in ninth with 117. Freshman Jasmine Watts has been a force on defense down low, and is just 11 blocks away from entering the single-season blocks top-10 at Tiffin.
