TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin track & field will be the host of the 2020 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships from Feb. 28-29 in the Heminger Center.

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased at the door, and are $10 per day for all spectators. There is not a two-day pass available, tickets must be purchased each day. Students with a valid ID from a current GMAC school will be admitted for free.

Dragon Details

The Tiffin men and women both claimed the indoor and outdoor titles in the GMAC a year ago during their first seasons as a member of the conference. On the men's side at indoors, the Dragons won with a total of 183 points, over 60 more points than second-place Findlay. The women won by an even wider margin, scoring 188.5 points, over 85 more than second-place Walsh.

Returning medalists for the men include Errik Snell (1st in 60m hurdles), Jonte Baker (1st in 60m, 3rd in 200m), Elijah Gauldin (3rd in 60m), Quincy Scott (1st in long jump), Cameron Burrows (2nd in long jump, 1st in high jump), Nikolas Curtiss (2nd in shot put), and Jabari Bennett (3rd in shot put).

For the women, returning medalists include Jazilee Williams (2nd in pentathlon), Rajiah Andrews (3rd in 60m hurdles, 3rd in 60m, 3rd in long jump, 3rd in triple jump), Alexya Peoples (third in 400m), Brittany Holbrook (2nd in 60m, 1st in 200m), Shalbe Evans (1st in long jump), Madeline Hayes (1st in pole vault), Marisa Gwinner (1st in high jump), Mercedeez Francis (3rd in high jump), Nicole Berry (1st in shot put), and Miaisha Blair (1st in triple jump).

As of the latest USTFCCCA rating index on Feb. 18, the Tiffin men are ranked No. 1 in all of Division II while the women come in 11th in the nation. Findlay is the next highest GMAC school on the men's side at No. 15 in the nation, followed by Hillsdale at 68th, Walsh at 73rd, and Malone at 80th. For the women, Walsh is 17 spots behind Tiffin at No. 28, followed by Findlay in 57th, Hillsdale in 74th, and Malone in 80th.

The Dragons also sport three DII-leading event squads on the men's side (60m, Long Jump, Shot Put) while also ranking second in the 60m Hurdles. On the women's side, TU is No. 1 in both the High Jump and the Shot Put, while the 60m squad is second in the country.

Individually, there are three Dragons at the top of DII in their events, as Jonte Baker is No. 1 in the 60m at 6.64 seconds, Cameron Burrows is atop the high jump at 2.19 meters, and Nikolas Curtiss leads the shot put at 19.40 meters. Four other Dragons (Quincy Scott - long jump, Jabari Bennett - shot put, Eric Jackson - shot put, Cameron Burrows - heptathlon) are also in the top-10 in the country in their events. On the women's side, Marisa Gwinner is No. 1 in the nation in the high jump at 1.76 meters while three others (Rajiah Andrews - 60m, Brenda Johnson - shot put, Nicole Berry - shot put) are in the top-10 in their events.
