Dragons Come Up Short Against Ohio Dominican

TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's soccer held the advantage over Ohio Dominican in possession on Thursday afternoon, but was unable to convert that into many scoring opportunities as the Panthers won 2-0.

The Dragons held the ball for 56% of the time compared to ODU's 44%. However, TU managed three shots in the game while Ohio Dominican took 21.

Thirteen of those shots were on goal, leading to 11 saves from Tiffin keeper Nahomi Lopez. Claudia Santillan had the lone shot on goal for the Dragons.

Ohio Dominican scored in both halves, starting in the 30th minute as Samantha Buck headed in a cross from Emily Wittekind. Until that point, the game had been very evenly matched and well defended, with neither team able to create many opportunities.

The Panthers would get a few more opportunites after that, though, with one leading to a goal in the 56th minute, as Callan Myers tallied to give the visitors a 2-0 lead that would last until the final whistle.

Tiffin finishes their homestand on Saturday by hosting Cedarville at noon.
