TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's soccer will host two more conference games this week as they welcome Ohio Dominican on Thursday and Cedarville on Saturday.

Dragon Details:

Tiffin came very close to pulling out their first victory of the season on Saturday, matching Kentucky Wesleyan at two goals apiece through the first 90 minutes but falling in the second overtime on a golden goal by the Panthers. Emma Siler put the Dragons up early with the first goal of her career, but KWC responded with a pair of goals to take the lead. Sierra Besecker found the equalizer late in the second-half off a free kick, before the Panthers' Madyson Hunt scored with less than four minutes to play in double overtime.

Besecker sits alone atop the Dragons in terms of points on the year with five on two goals and an assist. Lily Cady is next with two goals and four points, followed by Lauryn Grcic's three points on a goal and an assist. 

Siler, Julia Effinger, and Leila Hannaoui have the other Tiffin goals, while Claudi Santillan has recorded a pair of assists.

Nahomi Lopez continues to lead the GMAC with 68 saves, holding a 2.40 goals against average and .756 save percentage in nine games.

Scouting the Panthers:

Ohio Dominican enters the week at 3-1 in the conference and 5-3 overall with GMAC wins over Kentucky Wesleyan, Trevecca Nazarene, and Alderson Broaddus. They faced the Battlers in their most recent game last Thursday, routing AB 8-0 as seven different Panthers tallied led by Emily Wittekind's two goals.

Tiffin and ODU played to a 1-1 draw in their most recent matchup last season on Sept. 22. 

This year, ODU is led offensively by Samantha Buck's 14 points on five goals and four assists in eight games. Katlyn Jamiel is next with three goals and an assist, while Wittekind has three tallies.

Shelby Shotton and Mari Silvestri both have three assists for the Panthers as well.

Cecilia Kuntz has played every minute in goal for Ohio Dominican this season, posting a .98 goals against average, .733 save percentage, 22 saves, and three shutouts.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets:

Cedarville is currently in a three-way tie with ODU and Walsh for the third spot in the GMAC at 3-1. They also have victories over KWC and Alderson Broaddus, while defeating Ohio Dominican head-to-head in overtime. They last hosted AB as well, winning 5-0 last Saturday as Mary Kate Wyer tallied twice and three other Yellow Jackets added goals.

The Yellow Jackets were victories in the last matchup between the two teams, winning 2-0 on Sept. 20, 2018 at Tiffin with goals from Hannah Atkinson and Rachel Wiggins.

Atkinson leads this years' squad so far with four goals for eight points, followed by Aleah Martone's three goals. 

Taylor Noll has three assists and a goal on the year, while Bex Vellony has also added two assists and a score.

In goal, Allison Garlock holds a 1.02 goals against average, 37 saves, a .822 save percentage, and a pair of shutouts.
