Dragons ranked 9th as Grine lands top ranking at 157 pounds

Tiffin University's men's wrestling team is ranked 9th in the latest NCAA Division II coaches poll, while Trey Grine leads a number of TU grapplers in the individual rankings.

Taking the top spot in the poll was St. Cloud St. with 104 points, while McKendree was next with 82 and Pitt Johnstown was third with 62. Tiffin had 42 points and was the sole GMAC team in the Top 25. Alderson-Broaddus also received votes.

Individually four Dragons were ranked. Trey Grine (157) was the highest with a 1st place ranking, while Nick Mason (197) came in at 4th. Chris Donathan (149) rose a spot to 7th in the nation, while Hayden Bronne (174) was 10th.

The 9th-ranked Dragons now head to the NCAA Super Regionals at Indianapolis on Feb. 29.
