2019-20:

Grine finished his career as a four-time Nationals and Regional qualifier along with three First Team All Conference selections. He was 22-1 on the season, and finished amongst national leaders in Tech Falls and Most Dominant. He earned NWCA All American honors, placing second at Regionals and posting 50 takedowns and 410 points.

2018-19:

Grine was named GMAC Wrestler of the Year after his National Runner-up finish at 149 pounds at the NCAA Championships. Grine finished with a record of 20-2 this season while appearing regularly in the national statistics in the Most Dominant category and the Technical Falls category. Grine won the Midwest Region Championship and was unbeaten in G-MAC competition.

2017-18:

Grine enjoyed another stellar season for the Dragons, going 27-8 with 46 takedowns, 31 four-point nearfalls, and three pins. Grine placed third at the Midwest Regionals for the second-straight year, qualifying for nationals where he opened with a win but was unable to place.

2016-17:

Grine was impressive on the mat, posting a 32-11 overall record with three pins. He was a 1st team All-GLIAC selection and took 3rd at the Midwest Region Championships to qualify for Nationals.

Personal:

Trey is a native of Fremont, Ohio and is majoring in Criminal Justice. He is the son of Steve and Jozette Grine.

High School:

Trey graduated from Fremont Ross High School. While attending, he was a runner up at the OHSAA Championship Meet in 2016, placed 4th in 2015, and owns the school record for most career wins with 173. Grine was a 3-time conference champion, 3-time sectional champion, district champion, and a 3-time team captain.
