Gavin is a native of Akron, Ohio and is majoring in Accounting. He is the son of Jamie and Jim Messenger and has one sibling. 

High School:

Gavin is a graduate of Mogadore High School. While attending, he was a 1st team All-PTC selection, 2nd team All-PTK, Sectional Championship, a 4-time District qualifier, and accumulated 180 career victories.
