TU second after day one at Saddlebrook Invite

Tiffin University's women's golf team was in second place after round one of the Saddlebrook Spring Invitational in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Tiffin's opening round 305 was just four strokes behind leader Keiser's 301. St. Thomas (FL) was third with 312 while Walsh was fourth with 315. Tiffn's B team was 14th with 430.

Alexis Savage and Lisa Marie Schumacher led the team, tying for second overall with 74 each. They were just one stroke off the lead.

Amanda Johansson was 14th with 78, while Michaela Lindahl also placed in the Top 20 with a 17th-place round of 79. Jordan Van Meter rounded out the top five for TU with 88.

For the B squad, Sophia Compton shot 92, followed by Allyson Rosen with 103, Natalie Myers with 110, and Zoe Wiley with 125. Alexis Zimmer also shot 108 as an individual.

Round two will commence on March 11.
