Josh Mason has been named Head Women's Basketball Coach at Tiffin University.

Mason returns to Tiffin University after serving as Head Coach at North Canton's Hoover High School last season, where he led the Vikings to a 15-10 record.

Mason previously served as an assistant coach at TU during the historic 2020-21 women's basketball season. He helped lead the Dragons to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament championship and an NCAA Division II Tournament berth for the first time, as the Dragons ultimately reached the Sweet 16.

Mason graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Middle Childhood Education.

Mason's passion for coaching basketball began during his time at Cincinnati when he was given the opportunity to be a practice player for the women's basketball program during the 2012-2013 season. He brings over 10 years of coaching experience including stints in junior high, AAU, and high school.

A Findlay native, Mason also has high school head coaching experience at Cedarville High School. He compiled a 73-30 record in four seasons as the Cedarville girl's coach, where his teams were district runners-up three times.

"I cannot express in words how truly grateful I am to have the opportunity to be the next Head Women's Basketball Coach at Tiffin University," said Mason. "I had the pleasure of being a part of this program during the 2020-2021 season and I am beyond excited to be back and lead this incredible group of student-athletes, both on and off the court."

"I'm excited to have Josh back as a Tiffin University Dragon," said Athletic Director Lonny Allen. "While his previous stint was short he made a huge impact on the women's basketball team with the players, athletic training staff, and administration. Josh understands what is needed to compete at the highest level at TU and I am looking forward to seeing his progress."
