The Tiffin University women's basketball team will take on three GMAC opponents this week starting with Kentucky Wesleyan on Monday, Feb.14 with a 6:00 p.m. start time at Kentucky Wesleyan. Then, the squad host Malone on Thursday, Feb. 17 with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off, and lastly, the Dragons host Walsh on Saturday, Feb. 19 with the game set to start at 1:00 p.m.

Dragon Details:

Last time out the Dragons went 2-1 last week with wins over Trevecca and Kentucky Wesleyan.

Tiffin's offense is led by Aarion Nichols who is averaging 16.4 points shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 41.4 percent from three-point territory, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.6 steals, Jada Tate is scoring 10.1 points shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 8.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.8 steals, and Savanah Richards registers 9.3 points shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from beyond the arc, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

 

Scouting the Panthers:

The Panthers went 2-0 last week with wins over conference opponents Cedarville and Ohio Dominican.

Kentucky Wesleyan's offense is led by Tahlia Walton who is averaging 14.3 points shooting 54.4 percent from the field and 44.1 percent from beyond the arc, 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals, teammate Cali Nolot scores 12.9 points shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 3.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.7 steals, and Emma Johnson registers 7.4 points shooting 38.6 percent from the field, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.

The Panthers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 7-4, with their last meeting coming on Feb. 10 when the Dragons won 60-47.

 

Scouting the Pioneers:

The Pioneers went 1-1 last week with a win over Hillsdale.

Malone's offense is led by Robin Campbell who is averaging 13.9 points shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 32.8 percent from three-point range, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.6 steals, followed by teammate Holly Groff who scores 13.5 points shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from beyond the arc, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals, and Alexis Hutchinson registered 12.7 points shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 31.0 percent from three-point territory, 3.6 rebounds, 2.65 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

The Pioneers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 7-5, with their last meeting coming on Dec. 19, 2020 when the Dragons won 69-67 in overtime.

 

Scouting the Cavaliers:

The Cavaliers are on a 13 game winning streak since Dec. 31 against No. 2 Ashland.

Walsh's offense is led by Sha Carter who is averaging 19.0 points shooting 57.3 percent from the field, 9.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.25 steals, Morgan McMillen records 15.5 points shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 49.7 percent from beyond the arc, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.25 steals, and Mayci Sales scores 14.7 points shooting 55.2 percent from the field, 7.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

The Cavaliers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 13-1, with their last meeting coming on Feb. 20 2021 when Walsh won 72-62.
