Women’s Basketball play three GMAC contests

The Tiffin University women's basketball team will play three games this week against two opponents starting with Trevecca Nazarene on Monday, Feb. 7 with a 1:00 p.m. game time in Gillmor. Then, the team travels to Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday, Feb. 10 for a 6:30 p.m. tip off. Tiffin closes out the week at Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday, Feb. 12 with a 3:00 p.m. start time

Dragon Details:

Last time out the Dragons went 0-2 last week against Walsh and No. 2 Ashland.

Tiffin's offense is led by Aarion Nichols who is averaging 16.9 points shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 46.0 percent from three-point territory, 9.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 steals, Jada Tate is scoring 10.6 points shooting 41.5 percent from the field, 8.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.9 steals, and Savanah Richards registers 9.3 points shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

 

Scouting the Trojans:

The Trojans went 0-2 last week against conference opponents.

Trevecca Nazarene's offense is led by Keeley Carter who is averaging 17.2 points shooting 51 percent from the field, 5.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.5 steals, Emma Palmer registers 11.8 points shooting 53.8 percent from the field, and 5.5 rebounds, and teammate Bayleigh Carmichel tallies 10.7 points shooting 37.7 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from beyond the arc, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

The Trojans lead the all-time series against the Dragons 3-1, with their last meeting coming on February 13, when the Trojans won 67-65.

 

Scouting the Panthers:

The Panthers went 2-0 last week with wins over conference opponents Cedarville and Ohio Dominican.

Kentucky Wesleyan's offense is led by Tahlia Walton who is averaging 14.8 points shooting 54.5 percent from the field, and 46.9 percent from beyond the arc, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals, teammate Cali Nolot scores 13.2 points shooting 48.6 percent from the field, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.8 steals, and Emma Johnson registers 7.3 points shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.

The Panthers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 7-3, with their last meeting coming on March 12 when the Dragons won 70-56 in the NCAA Tournament.
