Women’s Basketball Battle Conference Opponents Ursuline and Ashland

The Tiffin University women's basketball team will battle two conference opponents this week starting with Ursuline on Tuesday, December 12, for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off. Then, the Dragons host conference-leading Ashland on Saturday, December 18, for a 1 p.m. start.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons went 1-0 last week in conference action against Lake Erie.

Tiffin's offense is led by Aarion Nichols who is averaging 15.2 points shooting 41.1 percent from the field, 8.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals, Jada Tate is scoring 9.9 points shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 7.2 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 assists, and Savanah Richards is averaging 7.6 points shooting 31.9 percent from the field, 3.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

 

Scouting the Arrows:

The Arrows have not played since Nov. 23 when they lost to Ferris State.

Ursuline's offense is led by Michaela Cloonan who scores 21.2 points shooting 62.3 percent from the field, 7.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 3.0 steals, Rebekah Green averages 17.0 points shooting 49.1 percent from the field, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals, and Alyssa Evans registers 15.2 points shooting 42.0 from the field, 2.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Arrows 5-2, with the last meeting coming on January 27, 2021 when the Dragons won 77-59.

The Eagles went 1-0 last week against Lake Erie.
