Tiffin University found a great way to honor its seniors and close out its regular season, defeating Findlay for the first time since 2017 with a convincing 60-44 victory.

After honoring seniors Brooke Wesner, Danelle Bradley, and Jensen Hiegel before the game, the Dragons came out on fire, holding the Oilers to just 8 percent shooting (1 for 12) in the first quarter as TU raced out to an 18-4 lead.

The Dragons kept their lead sizable with a barrage of three point shots, hitting six in the first half to take a 30-15 halftime lead.

Findlay came out in the third quarter and made a quick run, cutting TU's lead to just six points. The Dragons did not waver, though, bouncing back to shoot 77 percent in the final quarter, including 67 percent from three point to outrace the Oilers.

The Dragons held UF to just 25 percent field goal shooting in the game, allowing very few second shots with a big 42-33 rebounding margin. Overall TU hit 10 treys, totaling half of their points from beyond the arc.

TU's defense also forced 21 turnovers with 8 steals, scoring 20 points off turnovers.

Aarion Nichols led the way with 14 points and 9 rebounds along with 4 assists and 3 steals, while Jensen Hiegel also had 14 points. Savanah Richards had 10 points, while three other Dragons dominated on the boards. Jada Tate had 12 rebounds, Bradley had 7 points with 7 rebounds, and Kirsten Williams also had 7 rebounds.
