The Tiffin University women's basketball team went 0-2 last week. The Dragons host Ohio Valley on Monday, Feb. 22 for a 3 p.m. tip-off before hosting conference rival Findlay on Thursday, Feb. 25 for a 5:30 p.m. game.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons are 1-3 over their last four games with a win over No. 9 Cedarville. 

Tiffin's defense is ranked first in the conference as they hold their opponents to 64.9 points per game, putting them seventh in the conference in margin scoring with 2.4 more points on average. The Dragons are third in the conference in opponent field goal percentage at 39.9 and second in opponent three-point defense holding opponents to 30.4 percent shooting. 

Aarion Nichols and Savanah Richards lead the offense for Tiffin. Nichols ranks amongst the GMAC leaders in points, rebounds, assists, and steals, averaging 15.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.9 steals while Richards ranks amongst the leaders in points and assists and averages 14.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.5 steals. 

Jada Tate scores 9.6 points shooting 49.0 percent from the field, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.  

 

Scouting the Fighting Scots

Ohio Valley is 0-4 in their last four matchups. 

The Scots offense is led by Jordan Fox who averages 13.7 points shooting 33.3 percent from the field, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. Tanner Esposito averages 11.6 points shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc. 

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Scots 4-0. The last time these two teams played was Jan. 30 when Tiffin won 73-42.

 

Scouting the Oilers

Findlay is 2-2 in their last four games with wins over Malone and Ohio Valley. They are fifth in the conference in scoring averaging 78.7 points and first in field goal defense, holding their opponents to 39.1 percent.

Sydney Kin leads the Oilers scoring 22.3 points per game and shooting 61.5 percent from beyond the arc, 9.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 0.8 steals. Bridget Landin averages 13.4 points shooting 49.3 percent from three-point range, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals and teammate Amber Schweiger averages 10.9 points shooting 30.9 percent from the field, 3.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 2.4 steals.

The Oilers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 19-7, with the last time these teams played on Dec. 11, when Findlay won 81-75.
