Lady Dragons Host Lake Erie, Travel to Ohio Dominican

The Tiffin University women's basketball team went undefeated last week against Lake Erie and Hillsdale to jump to fourth in the conference standings. This week, the Dragons will host Lake Erie on Thursday at the Gillmor Center, then travel to Ohio Dominican on Saturday.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons are 2-2 over their last four games, with wins over Lake Erie and Hillsdale. 

Last time out Tiffin's balanced attack was able to push past Hillsdale, 70-56. With three Dragons hitting double-figures as Savanah Richards led Tiffin, scoring 26 points while shooting 11-for-19 from the field, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing three assists. Teammate Jada Tate scored 14 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field along with three rebounds, and Aarion Nichols tallied 13 points and seven rebounds in the win.  

Tiffin's defense ranks first in the conference as they hold their opponents to 66.4 points per game. The Dragons rank fourth in the conference in opponent field goal percentage at 40.2 percent and second in the conference in three point defense, holding opponents to 30 percent from beyond the arc. 

Aarion Nichols and Savanah Richards have led the offense for Tiffin. Nichols ranks amongst national leaders in points, rebounds, assists and steals, averaging 15.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals. Teammate Richards ranks amongst the national leaders in points and assists and averages 14.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals. 

Scouting the Storm 

The Storm are 0-4 in their last four games. 

The Storm's big three are Breanna Bauer, Sydney Wyngarden and Lainey Billing. Bauer averages 10.8 points and 5.3 rebounds, Wyngarden scores 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists, and Billing averages 9.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.  

The Dragons lead the all-time series with the Strom 12-9, with their last meeting coming last week where Tiffin won 67-56.  

Scouting the Panthers

The Panthers are 2-2 in their last four games with wins against Findlay and Malone.

Ohio Dominican have four players in double figures: Angela Troyer, Kennedy Schlabach, Olivia Fox and Gabby Stare. Troyer leads the way, scoring 22.1 points per game, 9.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals, followed by Schlabach who averages 19.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 steals. Fox averages 14.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.7 steals and Stare averages 13.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 0.9 steals. 

The Panthers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 12-6, with their last meeting coming earlier this season on Dec. 5 when Tiffin won 65-56.
