Goldin Signs With Women's Basketball

Roni Goldin has announced her intention to continue her athletic and academic careers at Tiffin University.

Goldin is a 5'9" guard from Israel and gathered numerous accolades playing for both her club team and country.

As a freshman, her team won the Israeli B Division. She also helped lead her club team to the U-16 Israeli Cup and won Rookie of the Year in the 2nd League as a sophomore. She led Israel 3x3 to the European finals and a top-five finish. She was also a member of the U-18 and U-20 Israeli National Teams.

"Roni is a hardworking player, first and last at the gym," said Jonathan Oren, head coach at Gilboa Maayanot women's club and Goldin's coach during the 2018-19 season. "Eager to learn and improve and a wonderful teammate. Roni is also an aggressive player on both sides of the court that goes hard to the paint, aggressive on the ball that can guard almost every position, good catch and shoot shooter, a great reader of situations, and a great rebounder on both sides."

She also served in the Israeli military for two years as a Sergeant before making the choice to come to Tiffin and play basketball.

"Roni is a classic wing," said Vernard Hollins, a scout with Always100. "She can play shooting guard and both forward positions. Roni can light it up from behind the arc as well as drive to the basket. She is an excellent shooter off the screen and has the ability to create her own shot and shots for others. Defensively, she can play multiple positions. She has leadership abilities, mental toughness, and a winning mentality on and off the court."

Goldin intends to major in Marketing.
