Dragons Close 2019 With Exhibition at Miami

OXFORD, Ohio - Tiffin women's basketball wrapped up the 2019 calendar year with an exhibition contest at the University of Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday, falling to the Division I RedHawks 83-51.

With the game being an exhibition for TU, it will not count towards their overall record. It will still go down as the final contest of 2019 for Tiffin Athletics though, wrapping up an incredible and historic year.

The Dragons shot 38% from the field in the game, but were able to outpace the RedHawks from the free throw line at 63% to 36%.

Tiffin also outscored Miami off the bench to the tune of 34-33 on the afternoon.

Aarion Nichols paced Tiffin with 13 points and six rebounds, followed by Tanner Wirth with a career-high nine points off the bench.

Danelle Bradley added eight points and four boards, while Jensen Hiegel had seven rebounds and four points.

With a game now under their belts following the holiday break, the Dragons jump back into GMAC play on Saturday when they travel to Ohio Valley.
