Tate Signs With Women's Basketball

Jada Tate has announced her intention to continue her athletic and academic careers at Tiffin University.

Tate is a 5'11" forward out of Pickerington High School Central in Pickerington, Ohio.

"Jada comes from a basketball family, and is super skilled and has amazing footwork," said Jonathan Hedgepeth, Tate's high school coach. "She is also tough, which makes her a great rebounder and interior defender. To top off her basketball abilities, Jada is also a hard worker and a quality young lady."

At Pickerington Central, Tate was Second Team All-OCC, District 11 Honorable Mention, and All-Central District Honorable Mention. During her four years, her team also won four conference championships, four district championships, two regional championships, and a state championship her junior year.

On why she chose to become a Dragon, Tate said, "I love the atmosphere, and the campus is beautiful. I think it will be a great place to get a well-rounded education."

"Jada is an extremely talented player with toughness that is unmatched," said Brooks Hall, program director of Ohio Elite AAU. "Her energy on the court is impactful and contagious, but it's her personality off the court that teammates and coaches love most!"

Academically, Tate was a member of the high honor roll all four years of high school and intends to major in Sports Management at Tiffin.
