The Tiffin University women's basketball team will hope to ride the momentum of last Saturday's 53-52 win over Lake Superior State University. Tiffin will pound the pavement this week, playing a pair of road games against Purdue Northwest and Grand Valley State University.

Tiffin University vs. Purdue Northwest

Last Matchup: The last meeting was the first for these two programs, with the Dragons taking care of business 54-46 on January 11. Tiffin's defense shut down the Pride in the 2nd half, surrendering only 17 points while relying on the offensive prowess of Madison Jackson, Kiley May, and Ali Schirmer

Luck Be A Lefty: The Dragons found themselves down 52-51 with only 2.1 seconds left last Saturday against Lake Superior State, but Tiffin's Aida Santana Martin found the bottom of the net as time expired with a left-handed layup to seal the Dragons' 53-52 win. 

May-Day: Kiley May has really picked up her scoring over the past four games, netting double digit points in three of her last four games. In her last contest, May scored a season high 22 points on 5 of 6 shooting from beyond the arc. 

Tough Opening Act: The Purdue Northwest Pride have had a rough go in their first year in the GLIAC and NCAA, posting only four victories. 

Stuck In The Mud: Purdue Northwest's offense is the worst in the GLIAC when it comes to field goal percentage (33.8%) and field goals made per game (19.8). The Pride have also had problems holding onto the ball, sitting last in the GLIAC in turnovers per game (20.7)

 

Tiffin University vs. Grand Valley State 

Series Record: The Lakers hold a 12-0 lead in the all-time series. 

Last Matchup: The Lakers downed the Dragons back in January 73-40. Grand Valley State controlled the boards 49-27 and committed only two turnovers against the Dragons.

Home Court Advantage: The Lakers are 11-0 this year at home, and have won 7 of their last 8 games. Overall the Lakers are 20-4 this year and 13-3 in the GLIAC. 

Good Losses: Three of the Lakers' four losses have come against ranked GLIAC opponents. Grand Valley State has fallen to Michigan Tech twice and to Ashland once. 

Climbing The Charts: Ali Schirmer sits 4th all-time in career made three-pointers with 155. She is 5th in attempts, and 4th in career three-point shooting percentage.
