The Tiffin University women's basketball team will welcome the Findlay Oilers to town this week, and will hit the road this weekend, traveling to Walsh University.

Opponent: University of Findlay Oilers (9-10, 3-8 GLIAC), 5-5 in their last 10 games

Last Time Out: The Oilers defeated Lake Erie last Saturday, beating the Storm 84-56. 

Finding Points: Findlay is 12th in the GLIAC in points per game with 64.2. The Oilers are 7th in field goal percentage, 4th in field goal percentage, and 14th in free throw percentage. 

Defending the Arc: The Oilers have suffered constant bombardment from long range this season, surrendering 38% shooting, 14th in the GLIAC. At the NCAA level that percentage is 305th of 307 teams.

Players to Watch:

Haley Horstman - Averaging 9.5 points, Horstman leads the Oilers in field goal makes per games and field goal attempts per game.

Anna Hintz - Averaging 9.1 points per game, Hintz leads Findlay in field goal percentage.

Unkind Iron: The Cavaliers are 9th in the GLIAC in points per game (66.0). Walsh is last in the GLIAC in 3-point shooting percentage at 26%. That percentage places the Cavaliers 280th of 307 NCAA Division II teams. 

Last Time Out: The Cavaliers dropped a close game last Saturday, falling 70-68 to the Ohio Dominican Panthers. 

Players to Watch:

Brooklyn Wooten - Averaging 12.8 points per game, Wooten is 2nd on the team in rebounding, averaging 4.6 per game.

Alex Hochstedler - Averaging 12.2 points per game, Alex leads the Cavaliers in free throws made and attempted per game.

 

Dragons:

Tiffin dropped their game against the Hillsdale Chargers last Saturday, falling 69-51. Tiffin kept pace in the 1st quarter, but suffered a monumental scoring drought in the 2nd quarter, scoring only four points.

Live By the 3, Die By the 3: Tiffin, similar to the Oilers, has had a problem stopping opponents from making 3-pointers. Tiffin is allowing opponents to convert 39.4% of their attempts, last in the GLIAC and last in the NCAA. On the offensive end of the floor, Tiffin is 2nd in the GLIAC in 3-pointers attempted and made.

Bre Nauman: Averaging 9.4 points per game, Nauman leads Tiffin in field goal attempts, makes, and rebounds per game.

Allie Miller: Averaging 8.9 points per game, Miller leads the Dragons in field goal percentage and 3-point attempts.
