Twenty Dragons named to NFCA Scholar Athlete Team

A total of 20 Tiffin University softball student-athletes were named to the NFCA Scholar-Athlete squad.
A total of 20 Tiffin University softball student-athletes were named to the NFCA Scholar-Athlete squad.

A total of 20 Tiffin University softball student-athletes were named to the Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete team, as the NFCA announced its annual award winners.

Across all divisions, 7,527 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify each student-athlete was required to post a 3.5 or higher GPA for the academic year.

Overall the Dragons finished 20th in the nation with a 3.64 GPA. They also posted the highest national GPA of any GMAC school.

Landing the honor for TU were Shannon Asiala, Taylor Born, Kyra Darnell, Claire Feldkamp, Kirsten Georges, Alyssa Gettys, Bailey Hamilton, Aubrie Harper, Sarah Klein, Mallory Phares, Kennedy Rorar, Kaylee Savage, Libby Schaadt, Hallie Sheehan, Shelbey Spurlock, Laura Teunion-Smith, Taylor Whalen, Tegan Wietrzykowski, Caitlin Wilson, and Maddie Woods.
