Tiffin University (17-23, 6-8 GMAC) got a brilliant performance from Claire Feldkamp in the opener with Lake Erie, winning 7-0 before falling 9-1 in the nightcap.

In the opener, Feldkamp threw a one-hitter over 7 innings, fanning 6 along the way. She opened with 4.2 innings of no-hit work.

TU helped her out with 13 hits in the game including a 4-for-4 showing from Maddie Woods, who laced a triple and had 3 RBI. Maci Head and Aubrie Harper had two hits, with Head also getting a double.

In the second inning, TU started a rally with two outs. Katie Deardorff singled, with Bailey Hamilton following with a walk. Harper then drove her home with a single. Taylor Whalen and Kirsten Georges both had walks, and the bases were cleared with Woods's triple to make it 5-0 Dragons.

In the third, Head doubled and Kennedy Rorar singled. Deardorff followed with a double-play grounder but Head scored in the process.

TU got its final run in the fourth, with Woods and Kaylee Savage opening with singles before Head singled to drive Woods home.

In game two, the Dragons allowed 7 runs in the first inning and could not catch up. Sarah Klein lasted just 0.2 innings and allowed all 7 runs. Shelbey Spurlock finished with 4.1 innings of work, allowing two earned runs.

TU got its lone run in the fourth when Savage doubled and came home on Rorar's single.

Deardorff had two hits in the game.
