Tiffin University enjoyed its GMAC opener, sweeping Ashland 4-1 and 11-0 in 5 innings.

In the opener, Claire Feldkamp was once again sharp, improving to 9-5 on the year with a 7-inning, 4-hit effort. She posted 7 strikeouts with 3 walks and one earned run.

The Dragons scored in three innings. They opened in the first with a Maddie Woods single, and she scampered home on a double by Maddie Legg to make it 1-0, TU.

In the third, Woods and Kaylee Savage both walked, and Woods came home on Maci Head's single.

TU got two more runs in the fifth. Woods hit a leadoff triple. With two outs, Legg doubled to drive her home, then came home herself on a Kirsten Georges single.

Overall Woods and Legg had two hits each, with Legg getting 2 RBI. Legg hit two doubles to go along with Woods's triple.

In game two, TU banged out 10 hits, scoring five runs in the second and fourth innings.

Sarah Klein got the win, tossing 5 innings and allowing just 3 hits and 5 strikeouts.

TU scored once in the first, as Taylor Whalen walked, Woods singled, and Savage walked to load the bases. Head then hit a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0, TU.

In the second, Georges laced a triple and came home on Aubrie Harper's single. Bailey Hamilton then singled, and another run crossed the plate on an error at third base on a Whalen grounder. Woods then hit another sac fly, and Savage ended the outburst with a big two-run home run to left field to make it 6-0, Dragons.

TU put the game out of reach with five more in the fourth. Woods singled, with Savage and Legg following with walks. Head then ripped a three-run double, which was followed by RBI doubles by Harper and Hallie Sheehan.

Overall Woods and Harper had two hits each, with Harper getting 2 RBI and a double. Legg, Head, and Sheehan all had doubles, with Head getting 4 RBI in the game.
