Tiffin University (16-14, 10-6 GMAC) used timely hitting and solid pitching to sweep Lake Erie 3-2 and 7-2 in a GMAC doubleheader.

Victoria Edwards got the win in the opener, tossing 7 innings of 6 hit ball while allowing 2 earned runs and fanning 6.

She got single runs of support in the first, third, and fifth innings. In the first, Kirsten Georges walked followed by Maddie Woods's single. Laura Teunion-Smith then doubled to drive in the first run.

In the third, Brooke Lambert doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch. Teunion-Smith then got her second RBI with a sacrifice fly.

TU's final run came on a big home run by Woods to dead center field.

Overall Woods and Taylor Whalen had two hits each, while Teunion-Smith and Lambert had doubles.

In game two, Claire Feldkamp went the distance and allowed just 5 hits with no earned runs and 5 strikeouts.

TU got a run in the second inning when Teunion-Smith walked and Whalen singled. A sacrifice moved them up to second and third, and Kaylee Savage's 1-6-3 ground out got the run in.

TU then exploded for six runs in the third inning. Georges and Woods singled, with Georges coming home on Lambert's single. Teunion-Smith then tripled to drive in two more runs. An error by the pitcher on Whalen's grounder allowed Teunion-Smith to score.

Whalen then stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch before Heidi Marshall singled for another run. Marshall then advanced to third on a wild pitch and an error on the catcher. Savage singled to drive in TU's final run.

Overall Woods had 3 hits, while Savage had 2 RBI. Teunion-Smith also had 2 RBI with a triple.
