Tiffin University (14-14, 8-6 GMAC) got a great outing from senior Victoria Edwards, as she and senior Brooke Lambert helped lead the Dragons to a split with Findlay.

TU won the opener 3-0, as Edwards tossed a 2 hit gem, fanning 5 over 5 innings of work. Lambert added a double with the game's lone extra base hit for TU.

TU got on the board in the third, as Skylar Legg and Heidi Marshall both singled. Legg moved to third base on a fielder's choice, and then stole home on a double steal to put TU up 1-0.

TU got another run in the fifth inning. Hallie Sheehan walked and Legg followed with a single. With two outs, Kirsten Georges ripped a single to drive in a run.

TU picked up their final run in the sixth. Lambert got to second on an error by the center fielder. Taylor Whalen followed with a single, and then stole second. Lambert came home on the catcher's wild throw to second base trying to catch Whalen.

TU got a save from Claire Feldkamp, as she entered the game in the top of the sixth with the bases loaded and nobody out. She made two pitches. The first induced an out at home unassisted as Kaylee Savage fielded a short grounder and tagged out the runner coming home. The second pitch was right back to Feldkamp, who went home and then to first for an inning-ending double play to get out of the jam.

Legg led the Dragons with two hits in the game.

TU lost the nightcap 9-5 in a wild game that saw 22 hits and 3 errors.

Shelbey Spurlock only lasted 1.1 innings, allowing 5 earned runs in taking the loss. Sarah Klein came in in relief, pitching 2.2 innings and allowing 2 earned runs.

Libby Schaadt, Isabella St. Peter, and Feldkamp followed with 3 innings of scoreless relief as the Dragons tried to catch up to the Oilers. The Dragons managed 11 hits but they were all singles as the Dragons failed to put together a big inning.

TU got three runs back in the 2nd inning. Trailing 7-0 at that point, Whalen and Savage both singled. Bailey Hamilton then singled, with Whalen coming home when the first baseman could not hold onto the late throw on Hamilton's single. Savage then stole home on a double steal, and Heidi Marshall followed with an RBI single.

TU got the rest of its runs in the sixth inning. Hamilton walked and stole second. Georges followed with a single, and then Hamilton stole home in a double steal. The scenario repeated itself, as Lambert reached first on a fielder's choice, moving Georges to third. Georges then stole home on a double steal.

Savage had 3 hits to lead the attack, while Mallory Phares and Whalen had 2 hits each.
