Tiffin University (15-12, 7-5 G-MAC) posted another split in conference play, coming from behind to down Trevecca Nazarene 11-7 in game one before falling in the nightcap 8-0.

The Dragons tallied 6 runs in the sixth inning to finally put away the Trojans, ending a seesaw game. The two teams combined for 18 runs and 29 hits in the opener.

Tiffin opened scoring in the second inning as Chloe Swaisgood singled and Kaylee Savage reached on a fielder's choice. A single by Gabrielle Hess followed by a throwing error by the catcher allowed Swaisgood to come home as TU led 1-0.

Hayley Kobie drilled a two-out home run to give TU their second run. They tacked on another run in the fourth when Swaisgood singled and was sacrificed to second. After moving to third on a groundout to shortstop, Libby Crow's bunt single squeezed her home to give TU a 3-1 lead. TNU bounced back in a big way, putting four runs on the board in the bottom of the 4th to go ahead 5-3.

TU came right back as Swaisgood continued her hot game with a two-run home run following Heidi Marshall's single to tie the game 5-5. But once again TNU responded with a run in the bottom of the 5th to go back ahead 6-5.

The Dragons finally put the game away with 6 runs in the 6th inning. Hess and Crow walked and Jamie Sevenish singled to load the bases. Brooke Lambert's single drove home two runs, while Kobie singled home another run. Abbey Zedaker laid down a bunt single to plate another run, while Swaisgood's sacrifice fly and Savage's RBI single capped off the Dragons' scoring.

Sarah Klein got the win, going 7 innings and getting the nod despite allowing 15 hits and 6 earned runs.

Swaisgood finished with 3 hits with a home run for 3 RBI, while Kobie had 2 hits with a home run and 2 RBI. Marshall and Sevenish had two hits each.

In the nightcap, nothing seemed to go TU's way as they totaled just 2 hits in the game and fell 8-0 in five innings.

Kobie had one of the hits with a double, but Victoria Edwards took the loss, lasting just one-third of an inning and allowing 3 earned runs. Lexi Falde finished up over 3.2 innings, allowing 5 earned runs.
