Tiffin University (6-7) knew it had its work cut out for itself when it took on 10th ranked Saint Leo, and things never went TU's way as the Dragons dropped both ends of a twinbill 9-1 and 5-0.

In the 5 inning 9-1 opener, Faith Bogard took the loss, lasting 2 innings and allowing 7 earned runs on 6 hits and 3 walks. A rough first inning hurt TU, as 4 hits, 2 walks, and 2 wild pitches led to 5 runs.

Tiffin loaded the bases in the top of the second inning with just one out but could not push a run home. Saint Leo put two more runs on the board in the second inning after a walk and a two-run home run.

Tiffin got its lone run in the fourth inning, when Hayley Kobie singled and came home on Chloe Swaisgood's single.

April Bennett pitched the final two innings in relief, allowing 2 earned runs. Brooke Lambert had 2 hits, as overall TU mustered 4 total hits.

In the nightcap, Kimmy Reynolds could not record an out, opening with two walks, a wild pitch, and a stolen base before being relieved by Tiffany Snell. Saint Leo then pulled a double steal of second and home to score their first run.

Saint Leo added single runs in the third and fifth inning before tallying two more in the sixth. The Dragons managed just three hits in the game.

Snell pitched 6 innings for TU, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts.
