Tiffin University (21-28, 6-16 GLIAC) finished its softball season with a gem from Kimmy Reynolds in a split with Findlay on Senior Day.
Reynolds led Tiffin in a 1-0 victory, allowing just 3 hits over 7 innings with 6 strikeouts and a walk. She made the most of a lone unearned run scored by the Dragons in the fourth inning.
After a Sierra Besser-Paul single and an Allyson Rock double, a grounder to short scooted under the glove to allow in the game's only run. It was enough for Reynolds, who finished the season with a 10-12 record.
In the nightcap, TU led 2-0 heading to the bottom of the seventh inning but fell apart, allowing 6 earned runs including a two-out, walk off grand slam to fall 6-2.
TU got runs in the first and third innings. In the first, Jamie Sevenish singled, stole second and was sacrificed to third before Besser-Paul singled her home to put TU up 1-0.
In the third, Libby Crow singled. After moving to third on a sacrifice and fielder's choice, she came in to score on a wild pitch.
TU held a 2-0 lead into the final inning. With one out, three straight singles plated Findlay's first run. Another single was followed by a bases loaded walk to tie the game. With two outs, Findlay ended it with a grand slam.
Savannah Chalfant took the loss after 2.2 innings of relief. Tiffany Snell started the game and was dominant, pitching 4 innings and allowing just 3 hits and no earned runs.
TU had 6 hits, all singles.
