Men’s Track and Field Tie for First at the Myrtle Beach Team Bash

The men's track and field team took first place at the Myrtle Beach Team Bash.

The Dragons tied with Coastal Carolina for the top spot with each team getting 20 points. Lock Haven was third with 17.

Anthony Nickerson took first in the mile run with a time of 4:18.25 and Dalton Gleason came in fifth with a time of 4:22.43. Nickerson came in second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.60 and teammate Nathaniel Ondracek came in eighth with a time of 1:58.48.

Benedict Draghi finished second in the discus throw with a mark of 49.86 meters and teammate John Casper finished third with a mark of 48.48 meters. Jacob McPherson was fifth with a mark of 45.72 meters.

Jacob McPherson finished second in the shot put with a mark of 16.75 meters, hitting an NCAA DII Provisional mark, Benedict Draghi came in fourth with a throw of 16.20 meters, and Brock Carlson was tenth with a throw of 13.81 meters.

Two Dragons finished in the top five in the pole vault as Collin Jasin took second with a mark of 4.71 meters and Noah Bitter was third with a mark of 4.56 meters.

Jaden Wimbush took fourth in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:03.09.

Dorian Holida came in eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.94 meters.

Jaylen Richardson finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.08 and Christopher Finklea was tenth with a time of 58.63.

The 4 x 100 team of Neal, Miller, Frimpong, and Hunter finished eighth with a time of 43.76.
