Burrows, Croy lead GMAC Outdoor honorees

Cameron Burrows and Head Coach Jeremy Croy landed major awards, as the GMAC announced its Outdoor Track and Field All Conference citations as voted by the conference coaches.

Burrows was named Field Athlete of the Year, while Croy was Men's Outdoor Coach of the Year after leading the Dragons to the outdoor championship with 267 total points.

Burrows was GMAC Champion in the long jump, a prelude to his winning the NCAA Division II National Championship in the same event. He also took 4th in the pole vault at the GMAC Championships. Coupled with Burrows's 4th place finish at Nationals in the high jump, he has now totaled 10 All American honors in track and field, including 7 in the high jump. He also has 3 All American honors in the long jump.

Burrows also has three GMAC outdoor championshps, having also won the high jump and long jump in 2019.

For Croy, this marks his 10th conference Coach of the Year honor. He was previously named the 2020 GMAC Men's Indoor Coach of the Year, and also earned the honor four times in the GLIAC at the Division II level and four more times in the American Mideast Conference (NAIA). In addition, he has also earned seven Midwest Region Coach of the Year honors and two National Coach of the Year citations after the Dragons won National Championships in 2016 and 2017.

Also winning championships and earning First Team honors were Elijah Gauldin (100 meters, 4x100), Dorian Hooker (200, 4x400), Errik Snell (110 hurdles), Lenell Shelby III (400 hurdles, 4x400), Ralph Casper (shot put), Lloyd McCurdy (javelin, triple jump), Quincy Scott and Brentt Ballard (4x100), Michael McNeil (4x100, 4x400), and Drew Hickman (4x400).

Second Team honors went to Nathaniel Ondracek (3000 steeplechase), Mason Plant (100 hurdles), Thomas Zor (400 hurdles), Collin Jasin (pole vault), Nik Curtiss (shot put), and John Casper (discus).

Third Team selections were Joseph Holida (high jump), Eric Jackson (discus), and Garrett Wilson (javelin).
