Four more All Americans honored at NCAA National Championships

Tiffin University had four more First Team All American performances on the final day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships.

Nik Curtiss was the highest finisher, taking second in the shot put with a toss of 19.14 meters. The champion was Rajindra Campbell of Missouri Southern with 19.99. 

The finish gives Curtiss a total of seven All American honors in his career. He also finished as national runner-up in shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.

Lloyd McCurdy had a fifth place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 15.35 meters. This marks the first All American honor of McCurdy's career. 

Lenell Shelby III broke his own school record in the 400 hurdles, finishing in 52.00 to take 6th. His previous record time was 52.47. The champion was Samuel Hartman of Seton Hill, who won not only the 400 hurdles but the 110 hurdles as well.

Mason Plant competed in the 110 hurdles final and also earned All American honors with a 7th place finish. He posted a time of 14.27, and improved upon his 9th place ranking nationally entering the event.

Overall the Dragons finished 9th of 61 scoring teams. Grand Valley State won the national title with 76 points followed by West Texas A&M with 55.
