Ralph Casper has been named GMAC Field Athlete of the Week.

Nine different conference throwers have made their impact with provisional distances in the discus throw, including Casper, who set a PR at the Hillsdale Outdoor Tune-Up.
 
In four other events this spring, Casper has been close in the discus with all of his longest throws, and broke through in Allendale to post the conference's second-best distance in 2021 only to Findlay's Austin Combs.
 
Just a freshman, Casper placed third with a distance of 51.49m (168'11") and bested his 51.10m from the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge in mid-March.
 
Casper has also competed in the shot put and hammer throw throughout his first season.
