Dragons take second at GMAC Championships

Numerous standout performances highlighted Tiffin University's second day at the GMAC Championships, with TU falling just short of Findlay for the men's track and field title.

Findlay won with 157 points with the Dragons coming up just short with 144 points. Walsh was a distant third with 92 points.

TU's shot put squad excelled, taking four of the top five spots. Ralph Casper won with a huge automatic qualifying mark of 18.78 meters, followed by provisional throws from Nikolas Curtiss (18.27), Benedict Draghi (17.07) and Isaiah Allen (5th with 17.03).

Elijah Gauldin won TU's other title on day two, winning the 60 meters in 6.83 seconds for another provisional mark. Brentt Ballard also finished 4th in that race.

Collin Jasin was 2nd in the pole vault with a provo mark of 5.01 meters. John Casper also took second in the weight throw with a throw of 19.29 meters.

Tiffin also did well in the triple jump, with Lloyd McCurdy taking second with a provisional leap of 14.63 followed by Dorian Holida in 3rd place.

In the high jump Joseph Holida was 4th and Jacob Goudy 5th, while Nathaneal Wilson also took 4th and Thomas Zor 5th in the 60 hurdles.

Nathaniel Ondracek finished 4th in the 3000 meters, Gauldin also placed 6th in the 200 meters, and the 1600 relay team of Robinson, Betts-Baldwin, Zor, and Wilson finished 3rd.
