Men’s Track & Field in Second After Day 1 of GMAC Championships

The Tiffin University men's track & field team are second with 34 points after Day 1 of the GMAC Championship meet.

Findlay leads the field with 41 points, followed by TU and Walsh (31).

Quincy Scott took first place in the long jump with a mark of 7.28 hitting an NCAA Division II provisional mark. Dorian Holida finished sixth with a jump of 5.59.

Three Dragons hit top ten marks in the weight throw with John Casper leading the way with a mark of 19.29, good for second place and hitting an NCAA Division II provisional mark. Benedict Draghi placed sixth with a throw of 17.31 followed by Jacob McPherson in seventh with a throw of 16.94.

The 4000 distance medley relay team of Lasseter, Wimbush, Ondacek, Betts-Baldwin, Robinson, and Jensen took second with a time of 10:27.69.

The championship will conclude on Feb. 27.
