Dragons Fare Well in the Bill Clinger Classic

The Tiffin Men's Track & Field squad competed in Grand Valley State University's Bill Clinger Classic.

First place finishes from Dorian Holida in the triple jump and Elijah Gauldin in the 60 meter dash led the Dragons.  

Field Events

  • Joseph Holida came in second in the high jump with a leap of 1.94 meters.
  • Collin Jasin finished second in the pole vault with a vault of 4.7 meters.
  • The trio of Davis Reinhard, Clayton Washington and Connor Laughlin placed fourth, fifth, and sixth in the long jump with jumps of 5.91 meters, 5.76 meters and 5.63 meters.
  • Tiffin took the top two spots in the triple jump with Dorian Holida in first with a leap of 13.54 meters and Alyjah Mouton in second with a jump of 12.51 meters. 
  • Nikolas Curtiss finished second in the shot put with a provisional throw of 18.04 meters, followed by Ralph Casper in third with a throw of 17.80 meters. 
  • Benedict Draghi took fourth in the weight throw with a provisional throw of 18.3 meters

Distance Races

Sprint Races

  • Tiffin fared well in the 60 meter dash with four Dragons in the final heat. Elijah Gauldin took first place with a time of 7.0, followed by Brentt Ballard with a time of 7.07. Stephen Powell finished fourth with a time of 7.23 and Clayton Washington came in fifth with a time of 7.33.
  • Elijah Gauldin came in third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.51, teammate Thomas Zor finished sixth with a time of 23.29, and Michael McNeil placed seventh with a time of 24.51.
  • Lamont Wright placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.31.
  • Nicholas Runco finished fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.94 while teammate Ryan Jensen took sixth with a time of 2:03.42. 
  • Four Dragons came in the top ten in the 60 meter hurdles with Nathaneal Wilson coming in second with a time of 8.26 followed by Lonnell Ward in fifth with a time of 8.62, Thomas Zor in seventh posting a time of 8.71 and Davis Reinhard placing tenth with a time of 9.04.
