Dragon Men Remain No. 1 in USTFCCCA Ratings

NEW ORLEANS - The USTFCCCA has released the Week One Rating Index for Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field, and the Tiffin men back up their top preseason ranking by again earning the No. 1 spot.

Lincoln (Mo.), Ashland, American International, and Colorado School of Mines round out the top five. Findlay is the only other GMAC school in the top-25, coming in at No. 16 in the ratings.

The Dragons have posted strong performances across the board to date, and are bolstered by their showing in the field events. Tiffin has three of the top-5 shot putters in the country in Jabari Bennett (No. 1), Nikolas Curtiss (No. 2) and Eric Jackson (No. 4).

Cameron Burrows is also showing his versatility, as the senior boasts the top mark in the high jump, ranked No. 5 in the heptathlon and No. 7 in the long jump. Adding to the depth of the Dragons include Quincy Scott sitting at No. 2 in the long jump and Jonte Baker owning the fourth-fastest time in the 60m.

Other top provisional qualifying marks for Tiffin include Errik Snell (No. 7 in the 60m Hurdles), Joshua Page (No. 10 in the 400m), Elijah Gauldin (No. 16 in the 60m), and the 4x400m Relay squad of Lenell Shelby III, Micah Robins, Brandon Lynn, and Joshua Page are currently 8th.

The next competition for the men will be this weekend at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invite.
