TU makes most of their Last Chance chances

Tiffin University competed in both of Grand Valley State's Last Chance Meets this weekend, hitting automatic and provisional marks in nearly every event they competed in.

TU hit three automatic marks. Coy Blair won the shot put with a toss of 64-8.5, while Dylan Cornwell won the pole vault on Friday with a 17-0.75 mark. Marquise Corbett also hit another NCAA automatic mark with a leap of 25-3.25 in the long jump.

Four Dragons also hit provisional marks in the shot put, with Eric Jackson, Ryan Donnahoe, Davion Bowers, and Zane Lawrence all making it. Davis Bowers also won the pole vault on Saturday with 16-6.75, while Kevin Roberts was 4th in the long jump. Eric Jackson also was 5th in the discus. All these marks were provisional qualifiers.

For the women, Miranda Mondozzi hit the provisional mark twice, throwing the hammer 180-9 feet on Saturday and 177-6 on Friday. Mary Boyden also took 4th in the shot put with 45-11.25, also making the provisional list.
