Tiffin University had numerous standout performances at the Tiffin Dragon Invite, hitting 15 NCAA provisional marks, including an automatic qualification for Coy Blair in the shot put.
Blair hit the automatic standard with a toss of 62-10.5, good for 2nd place in the event. He also hit a provisional mark iin the weight throw, winning the event with a throw of 66-3.
Following Blair in the weight throw were two more Dragons, both hitting provisional marks. Toryko Grace (3rd) and Victor Bezak (4th) all hit provisional standards, as did Jay Feuerstein, who took 4th overall in the shot put.
TU also excelled and hit three NCAA marks in the pole vault, where Dylan Cornwell won the event with a clearance of 16-5.25. Teammates Benjamin Pendergast and Davis Bowers tied for 2nd with 16-1.25.
Tiffin continued to show its overall depth in the 60 meters, where Reginald Thomas won in 6.80, while Jonte Baker was 2nd in 6.81 and Shaquille Hildreth was 4th in 6.90. All three marks were provisional marks.
Mackenzie Rickman was a provisional winner in the 60 hurdles in 8.24, while Tiffin's other men's qualifier was Jalon Monigan in the triple jump. He won the event with a leap of 48-11.
Other winners for the men included Nico Hudson (1st in the 800 in 1:56.73), Hildreth (1st in 200 in 22.32), and Cameron Burrows (1st in high jump with 6-6.75).
Other standouts included Macerio Clark (2nd in 400 in 50.68), Antonio Atkins (2nd in 200 in 22.58), Monigan (2nd in long jump with 22-0.25), Chance Abbitt (3rd in 200), and Collin Blochlinger (3rd in high jump).
For the women, two athletes got provisional marks. Mary Boyden hit it with a 2nd place finish in the shot put (46-5.25), and Deborah Brodersen also got it with a 2nd place finish in the high jump (5-5).
Other winners included Emma Gielink (1st in 60 hurdles in 9.06), Adaysha Parker (1st in 200 in 25.49), Miaisha Blair (1st in long jump with 18-2.5), and Alexis Cloud (1st in pentathlon with 2991).
Other standouts included Kirsten Camp (2nd in pentathlon with 2844), Carlee Marshall (3rd in long jump), Kaitlyn Jackson (3rd in pentathlon), Blair (4th in 60 meters), and Alexya Peoples (4th in 200).
