Tiffin University (7-3-3, 5-3-2 GMAC) will take on Lake Erie (13-1, 9-1) in a rematch with huge NCAA regional implications at Paradiso Field Oct. 27 at 2:30.

After a week that saw the Storm drop its first match of the season, the Storm fell two spots to No. 7 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Lake Erie came into the week ranked at No. 5 in the nation. Their lone loss of the season came last week in a narrow 1-0 loss to Cedarville, but the Storm bounced back with a 4-0 win over Ohio Dominican.
Tiffin, meanwhile, is fighting for its NCAA postseason life, as they currently sit in the 8th spot in the Midwest Region rankings. They have run into a rough stretch over the last two weeks, going 0-2-1 in GMAC play over that period. They suffered a 2-1 loss to Cedarville, a 1-0 loss to Alderson Broaddus, and most recently a 2-2 double overtime tie at Ohio Valley. A combined 4 goals is all that separate TU from being undefeated this season.
The other loss this season came at the hands of the Storm, who beat TU 2-0 in Painesville back on Sept. 29. The game was tight throughout, with Lake Erie leading 1-0 at the half and tacking on an insurance goal with just 4 minutes to play to put the game away. Despite the score, Tiffin outshot the Storm 15-9 and held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks but could not find the back of the net.
Statistically both teams represent the very best in the conference. The Storm hold a 33-6 scoring edge on their opponents, while TU holds a 30-9 mark. Lake Erie is first in GAA with 0.42 while TU is second with 0.65.
Leading the attack for the Storm is Jonathon Carr with 9 goals and 22 points, second in both categories in the GMAC. Tom John leads the conference in GAA with 0.42 and 46 saves.
Other weapons for the Storm include Ayden Von Essen (6 goals, 5 assists), Tom Akinola (7 goals, 2 assists), Javier Borreguero (3 goals, 5 assists), Sander Van de Sluijs (4 goals), and Ameer Saade (2 goals, 5 assists).
For Tiffin, Leo Hasenstab has 9 goals and an assist followed by Darren Appanah wth 5 goals and 2 assists. Eduardo Carvalho (3 goals, 3 assists), Joel Daly (3 goals, 2 assists), Caleb Gibbons (2 goals, 2 assists), Lukas Manneck (5 assists), and Abdoul Magid Sy (4 assists) also give TU numerous weapons.
Dylan Morris is having a strong season in the nets with a 0.65 GAA and 35 saves.
