Marcus is the son of Lytoria and David Whitfield. He is a native of Massillon, Ohio and intends to major in Marketing.
Toledo University:
Marcus played in 37 career games for the Rockets, doing so as a defensive back. He accumulated 41 career tackles, one fumble recovery, and a tackle for loss.
High School:
Marcus is a graduate of Massillon Washington High School. While attending, he was a three-star recruit by Scout.com and an all-county and third-team all-state selection at wide receiver as a senior. He Racked up 546 yards receiving and 997 all-purpose yards, and also had 36 tackles on defense. As a junior, had 32 catches for 642 yards and six touchdowns, and was selected to play in the Ohio vs. Michigan All-Star Game.
