Cyla (Hawkins) Geopfert (2006-08) is another standout player for Tiffin University’s acclaimed softball program. She earned 2006 NAIA All American honors while also garnering three All Independent selections over her career. In 2008 she was named NCAA Independent Player of the Year, and she also was twice named All Region and All Conference. She holds the record for most hits in a season and is third in career batting average with a .411 mark. She ranks in the Top 6 of six offensive categories. She helped lead the team to the NAIA National Tournament in 2006 and 2007, posting a school record 57 wins in 2006, winning the Region IX Championship and rising as high as 13th in the national polls. Her teams also won AMC Championships in 2006 and 2007. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She currently works as a Contract Advisor at Cardinal Health. She, her husband Jake, and three children reside in Munroe Falls, Ohio.
