Tyrone Trbovich (1986-90), a Vermillion, Ohio native, is one of the most honored post players in Tiffin University history. Trbovich was a two-time Mid-Ohio Conference Player of the Year who scored 1832 points, the second highest total in TU history. He was also a three-time All-District 22 and All-MOC selection. During his hardcourt career, Trbovich led the Men's Basketball team to their first NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City after winning the 1988-89 District 22 Championship. The following season, the Dragons won their second Mid-Ohio Conference Championship. He earned his degree in Business Administration and currently is a Store Manager for Old Navy Department Stores. He and his family reside in Willoughby, Ohio.
