Dragons continue to appear in NWCA rankings

Tiffin University is ranked 18th in the latest NWCA Division II national poll, while a couple of grapplers also landed individual rankings.

Iowa topped the poll with 114 points followed by North Central with 110 and King with 89. Tiffin was just 10 points away from a Top 10 ranking in a crowded field.

Individually Jenavi Alejandro was ranked 5th in the country at 109 pounds by the Open Mat poll of Nov 21. She was also ranked 6th by the NWCA. Her sister Juliana Alejandro was tabbed 9th at 101 pounds in the Open Mat poll. 

Overall Jenavi Alejandro finished 34-8 on the season in 2023, setting a new single-season wins record for the Dragons' program. It also marked the second consecutive season that Tiffin had a finalist in the 101-pound weight class at the National Championships.
