Tiffin University put up a valiant battle but came up just short against 19th-ranked Adrian College on the road, falling 29-21.

Three forfeits hurt the Dragons' effort. After both teams traded forfeits in the opening two weight classess, TU's Jaelyn Fazio got a victory by fall in 3:12 at 116 pounds to put the Dragons ahead 10-5.

After a TU forfeit at 123 pounds, Stephanie Mondragon (130) and Shanna Morris (136) fell in their matches 12-2 and 12-1, respectively. Adrian got their third forfeit win to take a commanding 23-12 lead.

Taylor Hites (155) got the Dragons closer with a strong 15-4 win but the Dragons could not get within striking distance after Jannie Renderos (170) suffered a 12-2 setback. Jessie Lee (191) finished the night with a big 13-2 victory.

Adriain remained unbeaten at 6-0, while TU fell to 3-3 in dual matchups.
